Grassroots Labour Groups Push Burnham on Gaza Policy
Multiple Labour affiliated organizations plan to demand that Prime Minister Andy Burnham recognize Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide and implement a complete arms embargo.

Several grassroots Labour organizations are preparing for a major policy debate at the upcoming party conference. Members intend to challenge Prime Minister Andy Burnham on his administration’s stance regarding Gaza.
The groups are urging the prime minister to diverge from the previous government’s approach under Keir Starmer. They are calling for official recognition of Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide.
A complete arms embargo on Israel is also being demanded. Organizations including Momentum, Labour & Palestine, the Campaign for Labour Party Democracy, and the Palestine Solidarity Campaign plan to increase their efforts before next month’s conference.
